Do not miss: why this is the time to splurge on a Chinese smartphone
Every year Xiaomi sells more smartphones than the previous year. In 2014, the company had passed 61 million and this year it would issue 73 million, with 15 million in the first quarter, 20 million in the second, the third 18.5 million and around 20 million in the fourth. A nice performance higher than last year but still below the initial target of 80 to 100 million sales that had set Xiaomi.
Generally, young builders showed strong growth during their early years. Xiaomi is increasingly part of the companies that have blocked the road to the "big" manufacturers like Samsung, offering high-end smartphones at very aggressive prices. A recipe that works but seems to have less reported less than expected this year.
It must be said that the late arrival of Xiaomi E5 only be released only in 2016 may not have helped the company achieve its objectives although it has started 2015 on a flying with Mi and Mi Rating Rating Pro before proposing interesting models throughout the year, starting with the Mi4i and mi4c or the Redmi Note 3, not to mention smartphones budget as Redmi 2.
For now, these figures have not yet been officially confirmed by Xiaomi but at this level, it is rare that the analysts are wrong. In all cases, there is still an increase against the previous year although the annual flagship of the company has been postponed to the following year.
